Universal Studios Florida announced today the new "Hollywood Rip, Ride, Rockit" roller coaster thats going to open next spring. This WILL be a cool ride, its a maurer-shone X-Coaster with some cutting edge technology. I hate the name, but it makes sense:
Hollywood: Its in a movie themed park.
Rip: You can take home or e-mail I guess your on ride video.
Ride: ...........its a ride.
Rockit:You get to choose your own soundtrack for the on ride audio system.
I really love th look of the lift hill, with the lighted coils on the steep lift and I am REALLY hoping that thing attached to the lift is going to be a giant jumbo-tron style tv. Also anyone who has seen footage of Universal Japan's "Hollywood Dream The Ride" knows how awesome the fiber optics on the train is, hopefully this will be just as cool and this would be an awesome effect for when it goes over citiwalk.
And man Orlando has gotten/is getting sooooooooo much expansion:

There is a lot of expansion in Orlando right now. I work with the new water park Aquatica which opened in March. It is associated with Sea World so it has theme park rides with a marine life feel. It is a great vacation or day trip idea because there is so much to do at the park including a huge beach, over 30 water slides, lagoons and lazy rivers. Perfect for anyone at any age, IMO.
